Homes and Holidays for $2 million Saturday Lotto Winners
Homes and Holidays for $2 million Saturday Lotto Winners
The October 26 Saturday Lotto draw produced ten division one winners. Each of the winners receives $2 million and two of the lucky Australians have been talking about their big wins.
In New South Wales, a woman from Lake Illawarra knew she’d won $2 million but ignored the phone calls from the lottery company as she tried to cope with her amazing news.
“I’m shaking.”
When finally answering a call from them, the Saturday Lotto winner said: “I’m shaking. Oh my gosh!” Next up for her was the job of telling her parents the news. “I’ve got to call mum and dad! I’ll make sure they’re sitting down,” she joked.
Her big win came from a QuickPick ticket. That’ll make her father a tad jealous according to the $2 million winner. “He’s played the same numbers for years and never won something like this.”
Plans for her winnings include buying a house and there won’t be a mortgage in sight. The Saturday Lotto winner plans to either move closer to her parents or they can move closer to her thanks to this win.
Central Coast delight
Celebrating an even larger Saturday Lotto win was a woman from Saratoga on the Central Coast. Her luck was really in as she also had 27 other lower-tier wins and in total won $2,012,932.85.
“How good is this?” was her response when being called by the lottery company. The Saratoga resident already knew she’d won but was fearful that a mistake had been made. That’s just like the recent $1 million Weekday Windfall winner from Queensland, Australia.
“It was a great weekend to win, that’s for sure,” she added. Her children had been told of the Saturday Lotto win but they were rather disbelieving of their mother.
Property is going to be purchased and the lucky player said: “I’m going to buy a holiday house; a waterfront holiday house somewhere nice.” It may be a holiday residence but a lot of time will be spent there as she now plans to retire from her job.
