Great Start to 2023 for Postcode Lottery Winners

January has seen plenty of celebrations in Barton-upon-Humber in North Lincolnshire     , England. Twelve delighted neighbours won £30,000 Postcode Lottery prizes. One had two tickets, so doubled their windfall to £60,000.

One of the lucky £30,000 winners was John who was already making plans on how to celebrate his win. His family adore Nando’s so a trip there for a celebratory meal was on its way. The Postcode Lottery winner joked that he can afford “a few extra sides now.”

The grandfather-of-nine added that the amount won is a year’s salary to most people. He joked: “Should I take the year off?”

Better than a slap on the head

Planning a trip to Spain is Terry who joked that his win was “better than a slap on the head.” He’ll be taking his wife Anita on their holiday but they won’t be flying to their destination. Instead, they’ll probably be driving in a new Jaguar F-PACE with a hired campervan.

Also winning a £30,000 Postcode Lottery prize was Alex. He’d never imagined that such a big win would one day come along. He said: “I’m genuinely happy when I win £10.” Alex and his wife Rachael seem to have had a rather noisy week since finding out about their win.

Their nine-year-old daughter kept singing the Postcode Lottery song. Despite that, some treats for their two children are on the way. The couple are also planning a holiday to Greece in a five-star hotel.

Driving lessons and a new car?

Single mother Louise says some of her £30,000 win will help her daughter pay for more driving lessons and “maybe treat her to a car.”

That’s something she’d been worried wouldn’t be affordable but this Postcode Lottery win has changed all of that. Other plans include “a sunny beach holiday” and “a spa day with my daughter.”

Life-changing

£30,000 Postcode Lottery winner Tony described his success as “life-changing” and “the biggest shock ever.”   He plans on giving some of his winnings to his two grandchildren. A break in the Yorkshire Dales is also on his spending list.
