Good Friday as UK Ticket Wins £122m EuroMillions Jackpot

The Good Friday EuroMillions draw saw a tickets sold in the UK win the £122 million jackpot. The lucky ticketholder has already claimed their prize. It’s the 111th jackpot winning ticket sold in the UK, a record amount.

The EuroMillions jackpot had last been won on Friday 26 February when the record £182 million top prize was won. Friday seems to be a lucky day as the most recent one held on that day also produced a jackpot winner.

One ticket managed to match 04-21-34-40-47 and the two Lucky Stars 02 and 05 in the 2 April draw. It’s the fifth highest for a UK player. It also means that the UK has now sold more jackpot winning tickets than other participating country.

They had been tied on 110 wins with France. This is the UK’s second EuroMillions jackpot win of the year. The New Year’s Day draw had seen a UK ticket win the £39 million top prize.

France hasn’t sold a jackpot winning ticket since the 11 December 2020 draw. That saw a ticket sold in that country win a €200 million jackpot, a record win at that time. Perhaps Tuesday’s draw will see them draw level when the jackpot returns to €14 million, only time will tell. In third place are Spain with 107 jackpot winning tickets. Their last win was on 22 January when a €80.5 million top prize was won.

It didn’t take long for the winner to come forward and claim their prize. The win is yet to be confirmed with the validation process ongoing. When that is completed and everything is ok, the winner will receive a total of £122,550, 350.80.

There have only been four higher EuroMillions jackpot winners for UK players. The highest was a £170 million win in October 2019. That winner remained anonymous, so will this one?
