Friends to Share $710,202 Lottario Jackpot

North Bay residents Roseann Timbrell and Trevor Caldwell have been friends for decades. Now the Ontario, Canada duo are both big lottery winners. They shared the $710,202 Lottario jackpot in the draw held on November 20.

The couple have been friends for 30 years. During that time, they have been regular players of many of the top lottery games in Canada.Roseann was relaxing at home when she decided that it was time to check her Lottario ticket. It was then that she discovered the big win. Even better, there was another $4 win on another of her tickets for the November 20 draw.

Immediately she got on the phone to tell her friend of the big Lottario win. As is often the case, the big news wasn’t believed by the person being told the news. Trevor was all a bit confused by what was going on. He thought that his friend was excited about the $4 win but why would that be the case?

Pyjamas

It wasn’t until Trevor came over to see her and he checked her numbers. Roseann was being totally truthful; her ticket had won the jackpot.“When we found out it was $700,000, we couldn’t believe it was true,” he said. Roseann still needed confirmation of her Lottario win and was so excited, she ran out of the door to a nearby store while still wearing her pyjamas.

Nope

Once she arrived at the store, there was an interesting meeting with her boss. He asked her if she’d won the Lottario jackpot (not why she was still in her pyjamas) and Roseann replied that yes she had. When he asked if he’d be seeing her at work on Monday, she replied, “Nope!”  That’s probably something she’s been wanting to do for years.

The friends will share the Lottario win. Trevor intends on giving some of his winnings to his children. A celebratory dinner is also planned for the two friends. Their winning ticket was purchased from the Wingate Lottery Kiosk on Fisher Street in North Bay.
