Friends Decide to Share $1 million Lotto Max Win

Taking a dog for a walk isn’t always the most exciting experience. It might be for the dog but for Stewart Harrison from Calgary, Canada, the walk was one that he and his friend Trieu Huynh will never forget.

That’s because he had already discovered that the Lotto Max ticket, he and his friend had purchased had won a $1 million prize in the June 3 draw. The amazing news was found out a day after the draw had taken place.

Dogs still need to be taken for walks, even if you have just had a big lottery win.  Mr Harrison and his wife were in a local park at 7am walking their dog.  Being rather impatient, he couldn’t wait any longer to tell his friend Trieu about the Lotto Max success.

Early morning call

Trieu was not expecting a call from his friend so early in the morning, especially as it was a Saturday. His reaction to receiving the call was a typical one. “What’re you doing calling me? I was sleeping! Who calls on a Saturday morning?”

Probably someone who has just discovered a $1 million Lotto Max win and is going to share it with his friend.

The lucky pair have already been busy working out how to spend their Lotto Max winnings. Stewart wants to use his share to pay off his mortgage and bills. He’s also been thinking about how his family can be helped. His in-laws recently sold the house they owned on the east coast. Now he can help them move to Calgary.

Snow blower

His friend also wants to help his father. Rather than help with their accommodation, Hunyh wants to buy his father a new snow blower.

Their Lotto Max ticket was purchased from a Petro Canada in Sundridge. It matched 04-12-13-31-27-31 and 35 to win one of the MAXMILLIONS prizes.

The next Lotto Max draw is being held this evening. The jackpot to be won is $70 million and there will be an additional 14 $1 million MAXMILLIONS prizes up for grabs.
