First EuroMillions Superdraw for 2020 Announced
A new EuroMillions Superdraw has finally been announced. After a break of eight months, a Superdraw worth €130m will take place on February 7 2020.
A guaranteed jackpot boost for Superdraw
This will be the first EuroMillions Superdraw since June 2019. A draw was scheduled for October but the jackpot had already surpassed the guaranteed jackpot and so it was delayed until now.
Instead, the funds were held back and will be used on 7 February – assuming the rollover amount hasn’t passed the Superdraw jackpot.
If there is a UK winner of the Superdraw, they will instantly go into the top ten biggest lottery winners ever. The €130m is roughly equal to £110m. This could change based on the current exchange rate.
As of January 7, the EuroMillions jackpot stands at €75m. So there is still time for the jackpot to roll over naturally. There is the possibility that the Superdraw fund could be used in a future draw if there are no winners before it takes place.
The special draw also comes just a week after some other changes to EuroMillions rules. From February 1, the jackpot cap will increase to €200 million, with the possibility of it rising in the future to a huge €250 million.

If the jackpot reaches that size, the winner would hold the ticket to the largest jackpot ever on a European lottery.
Changes to EuroMillions rules
In another enticing change for players, the jackpot will now reach €100 million after just eight draws, instead of the 11 it currently takes. This will be done by adding larger amount after each rollover.
With these new changes taking effect in February, Europe’s first €200m jackpot winner could be just weeks away. And following the UK’s success in the EuroMillions in 2019, it could be a ticket bought there that becomes a record breaker.
