Fantastic Finish to February for Australian Lottery Players

The last week of February was a massive one for two lottery players in the Australian state of Queensland. That was particularly so for the $15 million Oz Lotto winner.

That lucky player came from Mackay in North Queensland. His massive slice of luck came in the February 25 Oz Lotto draw.

He had no idea at all that he had won $15 million. With his ticket having been registered, the lottery company knew who had won and gave him a phone call. Last year  a dental patient from Queensland won an $8 million Oz Lotto jackpot.

“Holy, holy, holy!”

That came just as he was about to start work and his initial response included a fair few expletives. Eventually he calmed down and declared: “Oh my lord! Oh my lord! “I can’t believe it. Holy, holy, holy!”

The generous winner swiftly contacted his partner and family. Now he wants to use his Oz Lotto win to help his loved ones as some have been “really struggling.” Now he can help them and added he “can’t wait to make their lives easier.”

Just a day before his Oz Lotto success, a man from Pomona had won a Set for Life jackpot. He will receive $20,000 a month for the next 20 years. That’s a total of $4.8 million and the winner says his luck is down to the unique way in which he selects his numbers.

Just answer your phone

Contacting him wasn’t easy but he finally answered his phone. He’d ignored two calls but decided to answer the third one. “It’s a miracle. I’m mind blown,” said the delighted winner.

How does he choose his numbers? Well he wrote down all the numbers, put them in a hat and did his own draw. Another Australian changed one of their numbers and  won a $30 million Oz Lotto jackpot.

He has asked to remain anonymous but we do know he’s married and he and his wife are both semi-retired. Full retirement is now on the way for the couple.
