Family Numbers Helps Player Win $535,040 TattsLotto Prize

Two delighted Australians are celebrating TattsLotto wins. One has her family to thank for her success, while the other had a win that was totally unplanned.

He was just out for a walk when passing a local newsagency and suddenly deciding to buy a ticket. His purchase ended up winning him a $676,722.50 TattsLotto prize.

He said that he’s only an occasional player but has been “playing on and off for years now.” His TattsLotto purchase was described as a “spur-of-the-moment” decision but it’s certainly paid off.

The lottery winner has asked to remain anonymous but says his family “will undoubtedly celebrate under wraps.”

Definitely on his spending list is a new family home. He’s not sure yet whether that will be a house or an apartment.

Also celebrating is a woman from Malvern, which is another part of Melbourne. The August 19 TattsLotto draw saw her win $535,054.40.

The lucky player says that just before the draw took place, she was enjoying a FaceTime call with her niece who was already in a good mood. That’s because her favourite football team had just won their latest game.

Her niece was told that a ticket had been bought for the upcoming lottery draw and another family member wished her good luck. Never did they imagine just how lucky the draw was going to be.

There was another cheery conversation on the way when she was called by the TattsLotto company.

“Oh, my god. I’m still in shock,” said the delighted player. She added that the win was “music to her ears.

Close knit family

Her niece played a part in the win as one of her special numbers was part of the winning selection. Another number was in tribute to her mother. Now the lottery winner plans on sharing some of her windfall with her family members.
