“Extra-Special” Spanish Holiday for £250,000 Postcode Lottery Winner
An extra special Christmas is on its way for Carol Collings from Llandysul. It won’t be in Wales though, the £250,000 Postcode Lottery winner is off to Fuerteventura in Spain as she hates the cold weather.
The Welsh woman was totally delighted with her Postcode Lottery win. “This is certainly money I’ve not had in my bank before,” she declared. It’s the latest Postcode Lottery win in Wales after Debbie from Penarth won £640,000 on this lottery last year.
Christmas lunch
The Spanish holiday had already been booked and she’ll be going with her husband Steve and her sister. This windfall will make the holiday even more special and pay for “a few nice meals out.” Not all are expected to be Roast Turkey and Christmas Puddings though she is hoping to “get a good Christmas lunch somewhere.”
Carol is a retired health and safety officer. The charitable Postcode Lottery winner says she will make a donation to the Fuerteventura cat rescue organisation who she does voluntary work for.
Other plans for her winnings include buying a new car with an electric Cupra, the likely purchase. That would be for future trips to the Spanish island. More overseas holidays are on the way with a trip to Goa in India where her husband’s son lives. While there, she plans on buying some jewellery.
Off to Disney
Also winning a £250,000 Postcode Lottery prize was Liam Evans. He’s also planning a memorable family Christmas. The holiday park customer relations manager isn't giving too much away about future holidays but his son Theodore does “go on about Disney all the time.” Will it be Florida or Paris though?
Liam also wants to buy a new car, most likely an Audi S3. Speaking about his Postcode Lottery win, he said: “I'm completely flabbergasted. This means such a lot to me. It's a life-changing amount of money.”
He’s played for several years and when moving to his new home from Cardiff, he swapped postcodes. What a great decision that proved to be.
