EUROMILLIONS WINNERS SWAP THEIR SEMI FOR A MANSION WITH ITS OWN LAKE

The UK’s latest high profile EuroMillions winners have taken their time in deciding what to do with their £108 million, but have finally purchased their own multi-million pound mansion complete with its own lake.Neil Trotter won £108 million on the Europe-wide lottery early in 2014, and became Britain’s fourth biggest Lottery winner when he took home the huge EuroMillions jackpot. Together with his partner Nicky Ottaway, Mr Trotter, who is a motorsport fan, told lottery officials after winning that he planned to buy a fleet of supercars as well as horses for his partner, and would soon be investing in a property with more space. When he won the EuroMillions lottery, Mr Trotter was living in a semi-detached home in suburban Surrey, a house that his father had purchased for him in 2006. Now, the EuroMillions lottery winner has sold his smaller home and purchased a £5 million eight bedroomed Grade II listed mansion that sits on over 400 acres of land. The medieval mansion, which also has its own private lake, sits in the Kent countryside and has been extensively extended and renovated over the years. Retaining its original character, the EuroMillions winner’s new home features open fireplaces and large wood-beamed rooms.Mr Trotter admitted when he first won the EuroMillions jackpot that he had always known that one day he would become a millionaire, telling lottery officials that thanks to his namesake Del Boy Trotter from Only Fools and Horses, he felt it was bound to happen. “I always knew I was going to be a millionaire,” said Mr Trotter after his win last March; “I’m a Trotter so it’s going to happen at some stage. I have always believed, and it obviously works.”The EuroMillions winner declined to comment when interviewed about his new home, and the couple have stayed away from the media for the last six months, after composing themselves following the big win.The EuroMillions lottery is currently worth an estimated £17 million for its next drawing on Tuesday, January 6th 2015.
