A EuroMillions winner from Bracknell, near Reading in England will be swapping his home town for Africa after he scooped over £200,000 on the EuroMillions lottery last weekend.Bernie Delbridge, 74, won his £241,406.80 on the EuroMillions lottery in the draw on Friday, March 6th, and said that his win was thanks to his late wife, Margaret, who unfortunately passed away two years ago. Mr Delbridge, who used to work as an engineer for telephone company BT, said that his wife always had a belief that they would one day win the lottery, and insisted on playing it regularly in order to be in with a chance of taking home the top prize.“Sadly Margaret is no longer with us” said Mr Delbridge as he collected his EuroMillions winnings, “but I still play our same numbers every week.” However, this Friday night in particular when the EuroMillions winner stopped to buy petrol along with his lottery ticket, he decided for what he calls “some inexplicable reason” to buy a lucky dip ticket instead of his own numbers. “Goodness knows why, I always play our numbers, but I’m very happy I did!”The EuroMillions winner said that while his wife was still with him they created a list of three wishes they had to do during their retirement, one of which was a cruise which they took together before Margaret passed away, another being a flight on Concorde which is no longer possible, and the final wish being an African safari.
