EuroMillions Superdraw to be held on April 29

The month of April could end with you becoming a multi-millionaire. On April 29, the second EuroMillions Superdraw of the year will take place. That draw will have an enhanced jackpot of €130 million (around £109 million).

It was in February that the first EuroMillions Superdraw of 2022 was held. That proved to be a great night for a UK ticket holder as they won £109 million. It didn’t take long for the winner to claim their great prize but decided to remain anonymous. The last two times the Superdraw has been won it’s been a ticket sold in the UK that was the winner.

Five jackpot wins this year

This year has already seen the EuroMillions jackpot won on five occasions. The last time the top prize was won was on March 18. That draw saw two tickets sold in France and Spain both win €53.6 million.

The record EuroMillions jackpot is €220 million won in October 2021. That was another success for France who have now sold a record 118 jackpot winning tickets. Will another French win come on April 29?

New record on the way

The €220 million record could be under threat soon though. If the EuroMillions Superdraw isn’t won and further rollovers occur, the new jackpot cap is now €230 million.

Only once before has a EuroMillions Superdraw been held in April. The previous one was held in 2018 but ended in a rollover. The very next draw saw a £121 million jackpot being won by a ticket sold in the UK.

To achieve the enhanced jackpot, the EuroMillions Reserve Fund is used. This receives monies from every draw that takes place. The amount that is accumulated is then used to create the €130 million jackpot in a EuroMillions Superdraw.

Tuesday April 5 sees the next EuroMillions draw. That has a jackpot of £54 million just waiting to be won.
