EuroMillions Jackpot Cap set to Change in 2020
EuroMillions jackpot cap set to change in 2020
EuroMillions is set for a jackpot cap change early next year. Big changes are coming to the game from February 4 2020.
Even bigger prizes could be won
Lottery officials have announced that the EuroMillions jackpot cap change is set to increase from €190m to €200m in February 2020.

The lottery also plans to increase the frequency of special events, such as Superdraws.
The current EuroMillions jackpot cap is €190m. That was set in January 2012, but the lottery will be increasing it to €200m starting in February 2020.
The jackpot may even be allowed to reach heights of €250m in some future drawings.
Records will be broken by the new jackpot cap
The €190m jackpot has been reached on four occasions. Those winners all hold the record for the largest EuroMillions lottery win, but that could be about to change.
Although not all details have yet been released by EuroMillions lottery officials, it is possible that the Europe wide game will have the biggest jackpot on the continent in the future.
Currently, the biggest ever lottery win in Europe sits at €209m won by an Italian SuperEnalotto player earlier in 2019.
Even more special events to increase your chances of winning.
Another change that we will see in 2020 is the number of special events increasing, such as Superdraws. Currently, there are at least two Superdraws a year. From next year, there are set to be three of these special draws.

Superdraws increase the jackpot prize to a guaranteed amount, regardless of where it currently stands. But don’t worry, the cost of entering the lottery is not going to change.
