€4.6m Irish Lotto Jackpot Finally Claimed
A syndicate from Meath in Ireland have finally collected their €4.6m Irish Lotto jackpot win. Their success came in the February 9 draw.
The win was the second Irish Lotto jackpot win of 2022. This time there wasn’t such a long wait for the top prize to be won. The previous €19.06m jackpot had been won on January 15 after over 60 rollovers.
The ticket that won the syndicate €4.6m was purchased from Scally’s Centra Store in Summerhill last month. Overall, the syndicate won a total of €4,687,612 after successfully matching: 03-23-27-32-35-37.
We don’t know the identity of the Irish Lotto jackpot winners as they have asked to remain anonymous. Their spokesman did make a statement when collecting the winning from Lottery HQ. He explained how the winning ticket had been kept safe for nearly a month before claiming their win.
Finally, a good night’s sleep
“The weight is finally off my shoulders now,” he laughed. He’d been keeping the winning Irish Lotto ticket in his wallet all the time. He said: “not one minute has passed by that I didn’t tap my pocket just to make sure that it was still there!” The syndicate spokesman added that he was looking forward to getting a good night’s sleep now the cash is in the bank.
Sensible bunch
Spending plans for their Irish Lotto windfall include paying off mortgages and buying new houses. The spokesman said that the syndicate members are “a sensible bunch” and plan on being “very careful with the money.”
One thing they do all have in common is the desire to go on “a nice beach holiday with lots of sun,” so that’s definitely going to happen.
