€130 million (£110 million) EuroMillions Superdraw on March 7

Time to get your brand new diary out and make an important note. The first EuroMillions draw of 2025 will take place on Friday March 7 with a €130 million (£110 million) jackpot. Will a ticket bought from Lottery24 be the winner?

This is the first EuroMillions Superdraw since last September. On that occasion, the enhanced top prize wasn’t won. That made it the last two Superdraws to rollover and only one of the last five have seen the jackpot won. We must be due a win in March don’t you think?

Lucky seven?

This will be the seventh EuroMillions Superdraw held in March. Of the previous six, only in 2009, 2015 and last year did the draw produce a fantastic winner.

In 2009, tickets sold in Austria and France shared the €100 million top prize. There was a six-year wait for the next March Superdraw winner and it was Portugal where the celebrations took place.

There wasn’t another EuroMillions Superdraw in March until 2023 but that ended in a rollover before last year’s success. That saw  a ticket sold in Spain win the €130 million jackpot  that night. It was the only time in 2024 that a EuroMillions Superdraw produced a jackpot win but hopefully we’ll have better luck this year.

A record jackpot?

If the jackpot were to keep rolling over, we could see a record €250 million top prize. That’d beat the current record of  €240 million won by an Austrian ticket in 2023.

Last Friday saw a ticket sold in the UK win an £83.4 million EuroMillions jackpot. That was a record 131st jackpot winning title sold in the UK and took them one clear of France on 130.

The total amount won by the winning ticket was £83,474,081.80 but the amazing prize is yet to be claimed. Commenting on the win, Andy Carter (senior winners’ advisor at Allwyn who run the National Lottery) said: “Amazing, what a fantastic night for a single UK ticket-holder.”

The next EuroMillions draw is on Friday with a £24 million  jackpot.
