Dreams Come True After £333,332 Postcode Lottery Win
Adrian Platt from Rugby in Warwickshire, England is planning a round Britain trip in a vintage Volkswagen camper van. It’s all thanks to a £333,332 Postcode Lottery win.
Lottery wins can make dreams come true and that’s just what has happened here. Adrian has always dreamed of restoring a 1963 Split Screen VW then taking his wife and grandchildren travelling.
His win would have been £166,666 but the lucky player had two tickets so doubled that amount. When receiving his winnings, the classic car lover said: “The dream does come true.”
A cup of tea
At first, he received a call telling him he’d won at least £1,000. “I thought I would have been happy with £500,” said the delighted Postcode Lottery winner. When being told it was £333,332, he declared that he needed to “sit down and have a cup of tea or something stronger.”
Then he phoned his wife Jacqueline who was busy babysitting their two grandchildren. When hearing the amazing news she broke down in what she told the puzzled children were “happy tears.”
Adrian also wants to assist his twin brother and other family members and friends.”Just to help people out. I like to share,” said the generous winner.
Shock win
Gill English lives across the road and is celebrating a £166,666 Postcode Lottery win. The win was a shock for Kev as he had no idea his wife played the Postcode Lottery. He only found out when she was told she’d had a win.
The retired carer is going to take her family for a slap-up carvery dinner and buy her husband some shoes.
It’s a welcome win for the couple who have had health problems. Gill had to have part of her lung removed and her husband had melanoma. In the USA, a cancer patient shared a $1.3 billion Powerball win.
The lucky winner has three sons, eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Gill admits she “loves buying presents” so there’ll be plenty of opportunities to do that now.
