Dream Purchase to be Made by $1 million Lotto Max Winner
Winning a big lottery prize means dreams can finally come true. That’s been the case for $1 million Lotto Max winner Carla Spence.
Even more dreams may come true in Friday’s Lotto Max draw. That has over $100 million in prizes to be won.
It was in the May 31 draw that Carla Spence became a lottery millionaire. The same draw saw Patricia Warden win the $70 million Lotto Max jackpot.
Carla’s win has now been claimed and the woman from Split Lake in Manitoba, spoke about her windfall.
Not having seen the results until June began, she had no idea how much her ticket was worth. When taking it to a lottery terminal to be checked, she was told that her win was too big to be paid out.
So overwhelmed
“When I saw the amount, I was so overwhelmed!,” recalled the Lotto Max winner. Some time will be taken before deciding exactly how to spend her winnings. However, one dream she has had will now come true.
A lakefront cabin can now be purchased. It’ll have to be one that has three bedrooms and be on lifted land. It’s all still a big shock to her and the Manitoba resident admits that being able now to buy the property hasn’t really sunk in.
Larger jackpot cap next month
Now the clock is ticking down to Friday’s Lotto Max draw. The jackpot remains at $70 million which is the highest it can reach. There’ll be other top prizes available though with 37 $1 million MAXMILLIONS to be won. That $1 million prize becomes available when the overall jackpot reaches $50 million.
September is going to be a big month for the Lotto Max draw. The rules are changing and the jackpot cap will be rising by $10 million to $80 million.
When launched 15 years ago, the top prize was $50 million. It rose to $60 million in 2015 and to $70 million five years ago. The changes to the Lotto Max draw will begin from the draw being held on September 10.
