Double Success for Derbyshire Postcode Lottery Players

Derbyshire in England has been a lucky place to play the Postcode Lottery. There have been two big wins in recent weeks with one set of neighbours each winning £200,000.

That set of winners live in the village of Breaston. One of the winners is Alison Browne who says she can’t stop smiling since being given her Postcode Lottery cheque.

Also winning were neighbours Paul Rowland and George Mounsey who Alison has known for over 30 years. George didn’t know that his neighbour also played the Postcode Lottery until their big win came along.

Orient Express and more

Nor did her husband Tim and he’s now planning a rather late 40th wedding anniversary celebration. They couldn’t celebrate previously as it happened during the pandemic three years ago. Now the couple are planning a long-desired trip on the Orient Express. They both love trains so there’ll also be a train trip across the Rockies in Canada.

Alison said she’s “hardly slept for a week” since hearing of her win. The Postcode Lottery winner added: “I’ve lost half a stone this week. But it’s good!”

A man from Queensland, Australia was having problems sleeping. He then  discovered his $1 million Weekday Windfall success.

Also in Derbyshire, there’s been a £100,000 Postcode Lottery win for Chris Dell from Chesterfield. It’s not just good news for him though. He owns a self-storage firm and has promised to give all ten members of his staff £1,000 from his win.

The Postcode Lottery winner explained: “We’re a close team and it would be nice to put a smile on their faces.”

"I'm going to treat the staff at work, especially with that amount because we're a close team and it would be nice to put a smile on their faces.”  He added: “If I get lucky then I always think you should make someone else smile. Spread that love, spread that happiness.”

15 neighbours each won £50,000 but Chris and neighbour Tracy Moulton both had two tickets so doubled their winnings.
