DIVORCED EUROMILLIONS WINNER CREATES MORE CONTROVERSY
The Bayford’s famously took home one of the biggest ever EuroMillions jackpots of £149 million in 2012, but their win has been shrouded in controversy.Adrian and Gillian Bayford were a picture of happiness when the couple took home the second largest EuroMillions jackpot in history back in July 2012. Despite this success, the pair faced marriage problems and announced towards the end of 2013 that they were to divorce, with Mrs Bayford retaining their multimillion pound mansion that they had bought after the lottery win, and Mr Bayford moving into a separate property worth £500,000.Mr Bayford however recently announced that he is due to get re-married to a local woman who is 16 years younger than him, who he proposed to during a luxury holiday in the Maldives. However his former bodyguard then threw a spanner in the works by claiming that he had proposed to her just a few days before proposing to his new wife to be.Marta Jarosz first met Adrian Bayford at the Rose and Crown pub in Haverhill, near his home when he approached her and offered her a job as his bodyguard, driver and personal assistant. Despite agreeing to take on the role, Ms Jarosz was in a relationship at the time and claimed she was never aware that he was interested in her romantically until he asked her to go on a luxury holiday with him, a trip which she refused. She said that after this she did not hear from the lottery winner until a couple of weeks later when he announced that he had met somebody else who he would now be taking on the holiday instead. That someone was Samantha Burbidge, 27, who he had also met in a local pub. This latest development however did not stop Mr Bayford from continuously sending messages to Ms Jarosz, expressing his feelings for her and that he would love to marry her. After the bodyguard’s blunt rejection, the lottery winner proposed to Ms Burbidge and announced their engagement two days later.Although Mr Bayford refused to comment on her claims, Ms Jarosz said that throughout her time working with him, he came across as a man leading a boring and lonely life and was having a hard time enjoying his winnings.Judging by the fallout since the Bayfords big win in 2012, it seems like stories such as this may continue to rumble on.
