Difficult Day at Work After $15 million Oz Lotto Win
September got off to a great start for a man from Glen Waverley in Melbourne, Australia. He won a fantastic $15 million Oz Lotto jackpot on September 3.
His ticket wasn’t registered so the lottery company had no idea who had become an Oz Lotto millionaire.
The lucky player had checked his ticket the morning after the draw. Despite discovering he was a jackpot winner, he still went to work that morning. He felt that doing so would distract himself from what had just happened.
However, concentrating on his work proved almost impossible as he explained: “It’s all I could think about.”
Melbourne is a lucky place to play the lottery. Last month a player who lives in the Greenvale area won a $4.8 million Set for Life jackpot.
Still in shock
When he contacted Lott to claim his winnings, he was understandably emotional. The tears began to flow as he told them: “I’m stunned.” Still in shock, he added: “I’m overwhelmed with it all. It’s so much to process.”
What would you do after finding out you’ve just won $15 million. The Oz Lotto jackpot winner said: “I don’t know what to do from here – maybe get a bodyguard!”
Off to Europe
Plans for his Oz Lotto win include going on holiday. He’s not sure of his exact destination but it will be in Europe.
His winning ticket was purchased from the Seraglio Lotto in South Melbourne. It’s owned by Amelia Lay who couldn’t believe that her store had sold a ticket that had won $15 million.
Speaking about the win, she commented: “At Seraglio Lotto, we love to make dreams come true, and we did it all over again on Tuesday night in Oz Lotto!”
The store owner added that her customers and members of the local community “were over the moon for the winner.”
The second winner of $15 million in the September 3 Oz Lotto draw is yet to claim their prize. We do know that the winning ticket was sold in New South Wales.
