Mike and Jane Friske from Reedham in England won £1m in the EuroMillions draw held on November 28 but initially believed their big win might be a hoax.The couple’s win came as a big surprise considering their past luck in the lottery. They’d been picking their numbers online for the past three years and won a grand total of £6.60. So when Mr Friske, 57, received a golden email telling him he’d won £1m in the EuroMillions draw he couldn’t quite believe it.He even thought his friends might be pulling a prank but Mike said: “Even my friends couldn’t come up with anything quite that complicated.” He waited until he had been to the Camelot office in person before accepting the EuroMillions win really had happened. “I couldn’t believe it was real, I just couldn’t believe that I had won a million pounds. It isn’t something that happens to me, but it has and I have to pinch myself to believe it.” With the prize confirmed, a week after their big win he finally broke the news to his wife.The couple have been married for 28 years and have two children, Tom, 22 and Kate, 24. Even two weeks after their EuroMillions win they had only told those close to them the big news. Mike has already decided to move forward his retirement and has resigned from his job as an Oil firm geophysicist. That means no more daily commuting to London.They already have plans on how to spend their EuroMillions winnings and they include renovating a house in Reedham that they had been doing up as a holiday let. They also intend on helping their son set up a property renovation business and visit friends and family around the world.Also celebrating is Michael Marshall, 20, from Corsham who also won £1m in the November 28 EuroMillions draw. The Pizza takeaway manager intends on buying two homes with his winnings, one for himself and one for his parents. He’ll also replace his 20-year old Ford Fiesta.
