EuroMillions lottery winner Ryan Magee from Eglinton, Derry in Ireland, could be going to jail if he fails to comply with a 200 hour community service sentence given for driving without insurance while disqualified.Just like Barry Howie, Ryan became rich playing EuroMillions winning £6.4m seven years ago. The prosecuting solicitor said that police knew the EuroMillions winner had been disqualified from driving for eighteen months in August 2014. When he was stopped by the police and accused of driving while disqualified, Magee simply replied: "Yep, that's right."It was seven years ago that Magee saw his life change when, just like the syndicate from Cork we recently reported on, he became a millionaire thanks to EuroMillions. He purchased 11 lottery tickets in 11 different outlets in February 2008 to win his EuroMillions prize.As well as buying his Ferrari, Ryan did just what other lottery winners such as Mary Ann Daino and Dennis Klaus did, and went out and purchased a new home, except this one had a champagne bar. District Judge Peter King described the EuroMillions winner as "a menace not only to yourself but also to other road users".
