Coffee Cup Reading Predicts £200,000 Postcode Lottery Win
Did a coffee cup reading foretell a £200,000 Postcode Lottery win? That’s what Jo from Shoreham-by-Sea in West Sussex, England believes.
The Postcode Lottery winner says it was her Greek-Cypriot Aunt Amalia who told her there was money in her coffee cup. Just hours later, Jo received a call informing her of at least £1,000 being won.
Beyond life-changing
The mother-of-three was shocked to later find out her Postcode Lottery win was in fact £200,000. “This is beyond life-changing. It is just insane, I can’t believe it,” said the delighted winner.
It’s the second big win this year in Shoreham-by-Sea. In February, a lift engineer won a £133,332 Postcode Lottery prize.
Jo works as a freelance business consultant and is now planning on a holiday with her husband Tony and their three children. India is a possible destination for them..
Buying a camper van is something they’ve always wanted to do so that dream can now come true.
Tony has been a decorator for the past 30 years but is now considering turning his hand to furniture making instead.
Shoreham-by-Sea is a very long way from Coatbridge in Scotland but that area has also seen a Postcode Lottery win in August.
Quadruple win
Geraldine has won £153,844 but only by mistake. The former insurance worker retired a few months ago and decided to buy a second Postcode Lottery ticket. However, she accidentally ended up with four and not two tickets.
The grandmother decided to keep all the tickets explaining that she “couldn’t be bothered” to cancel them. As a result, now her postcode has been chosen, having four tickets quadrupled her winnings.
The win came just before Geraldine and her husband Paul were going to Gran Canaria to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary. They now plan to “go for a nice meal somewhere posher” on the big day and have “champagne instead of Cava.”
Also being planned are cruises, a Christmas trip to New York and going to Las Vegas. Helping their two children is also a future intention.
