Cleaning Job Days Over For £90,000 Postcode Lottery Winner

Jayne from Rhyl in Wales had to take up a cleaning job after being made redundant. Now she can give that position up after winning a £90,000 Postcode Lottery draw on June 19.

Eight other lucky neighbours are celebrating wins. Seven won £30,000 each and another scooped £60,000 thanks to their postcode of LL18 4JH.

Over the moon

£90,000 winner Jayne admits to being “over the moon” at her win. Her husband is retired, so when she was made redundant in 2020, she had to take on the cleaning job.” The funds were needed as the couple also have grandchildren to look after.

The Postcode Lottery winner is delighted that she no longer needs “to rush out of bed” and can spend more time with her grandchildren. They’ll be receiving “plenty of treats” including a new iPad for her granddaughter. 

Jayne is also planning on a family holiday to Machu Picchu, where she’s always wanted to go. They had been “scrimping money together” to go on a much-needed holiday. Thanks to this Postcode Lottery win, the days of scrimping are over.

Family comes first

Devendrarajah was the lucky winner of £60,000. The carer said receiving his Postcode Lottery cheque “was like a dream.” He wants to use his winnings to help his family as they always come first for him.

That’s likely to include the PlayStation 5 his son has been wanting for ages. It also looks like the whole family will be going on a cruise.

Dreams come true

Also planning a holiday is £30,000 winner Katrina. She and her husband Richard can fulfil a dream of going on a cruise. A first-time family trip with their three children and six grandchildren is also on their spending list.

It’s not all about holidays though. Richard wants a new DeWalt chop saw, while Katrina is keen on a new handbag. The couple are pleased that other neighbours have also had a Postcode Lottery win. Richard joked: “It wouldn’t surprise me if there’s a street party!”
