Change of Numbers Wins $5.3m Saturday Lotto Jackpot

 A father from Baulkham Hills in Sydney, Australia always uses the same numbers for the Saturday Lotto draw. Circumstances led to a change of numbers and it produced a $5.3 million jackpot win on July 9.

The lucky Saturday Lotto winner admitted that he’d gone not one but two nights without sleep since discovering his win. He’s a regular lottery player, having done so for seven years. “I’ve finally won it!” said the delighted player.

All the numbers lit up

He checked the Saturday Lotto results on the evening of the draw. “There were all the numbers lit up,” he said, recalling that magical moment.

Having discovered his big win, he felt happy. As he told lottery officials, “you can’t believe how happy I am.”  That’s because the Saturday Lotto jackpot win changes his life.

It’s not just the father who hadn’t been sleeping. He told how no one in the house has slept since becoming a millionaire. His ticket was the only division one winner in the draw. He was not expecting that to be so.

His daughter to thank

He has to thank his daughter for the big win. Usually, he plays his own set of special numbers but that wasn’t the case when his jackpot success came along. He’d asked his daughter to buy their Saturday Lotto ticket but she didn’t have his numbers on her. Instead, a Quick Pick selection was chosen and the rest is history.

The Saturday Lotto winner is already busy planning on how to spend the $5.3 million jackpot. Ideas include buying some land and building a house for the family. He also wants to “help several people get ahead.”

Retirement might not happen yet though. He says he’ll probably still work but may go self-employed. Whatever happens, the Saturday Lotto win is “going to change our lives.”

His winning ticket was purchased from the Paper Shoppe in Baulkham Hills. It’s the first Saturday Lotto division one winning ticket they have sold.
