Champagne Celebrations for People’s Postcode Lottery Winners

There have been plenty of celebrations in Norwich in the East of England. Seven neighbours were People’s Postcode Lottery winners in the £30,000 Street Prize draw held on January 15. One lucky player had two tickets and won £60,000.

Hayley was a £30,000 People’s Postcode Lottery winner and was “totally over the moon” when being told of her win. The mother-of-four didn’t need to take long to say how the windfall will be spent.

Her family has been saving up for the deposit on a house. The £30,000 win will “be a great help,” she said. That’s not all though as some family treats are planned. Hayley joked that her children would have a few ideas on what can be purchased with the People’s Postcode Lottery win.

Shopping spree

“I think the older ones will be hoping for a car,” she added. A family holiday in Dubai where there would be “guaranteed lovely weather” is also planned.  Also on her spending list is a trip with her closest friends. The doctor’s receptionist fancies shopping for clothes with them, perhaps in New York “or maybe Las Vegas.”

First task for her was calling her husband with the news of their People’s Postcode Lottery win. “He probably won’t believe it,” she said. Delighted with the news Hayley said, “I don’t think I’ll stop smiling” and couldn’t wait to have a celebratory champagne lunch.

The postcode NR7 8HL was also good news for Ian and his wife Pam. “That’s a lot of zeroes, it’s a lot of money,” he said when being shown his People’s Postcode Lottery cheque. The couple have four children, and each will receive £1,000 and be taken out for dinner.

Self-employmentfor Ian

Ian is a long-distance lorry driver but wants to use some of the windfall to start his own transport business. “I’ve already bought a lorry. I’ve been thinking about it for a while. I’ll sort it all out now and get it running, it’ll be absolutely bloody fantastic,” said the People’s Postcode Lottery winner.
