Celebrations for People’s Postcode Lottery Winners
There have been plenty of celebrations for players of the People’s Postcode Lottery, just in time for Christmas.
Colin and Marylyn Bull from Holbury in Hampshire, England, won £30,000 in the November 23 draw. They initially thought their win was only £1,000. Then a video call revealed the amazing news that their People’s Postcode Lottery prize was in fact £30,000.
After both gasped, Colin suddenly went “Wowee!” when realizing just how much their People’s Postcode Lottery win was worth. His wife was lost for words but later said the win would be put to good use.
New Zealand trip
Spending plans include a 50th anniversary trip to New Zealand where they used to live. That was back in 1973 after they’d just got married. Before that, there’ll be a family holiday to Butlins.
Colin, 70, also wants to buy his children the new clothes they keep asking for. As for his wife, she can finally get her teeth done.
Pink champagne please
December has already gotten off to a good start. Sue from Rochdale in England has won a £30,000 People’s Postcode Lottery prize in the draw held on December 5. The mother-of-four didn’t splash out on a celebratory meal though. Instead, she had a home-cooked meal with her sister-in-law.
However, the bottle of Sancerre that was being saved for Christmas was being opened early. Oh, and some pink champagne too!
Sue says that the win will “make a big difference to all of us and our family.” She added that her husband will probably tell her ‘Don’t spend it too fast.” Spending plans include lots of extra Christmas presents and possibly a trip to India.
Another winner in Rochdale was Ian. “That’s very nice indeed,” was his reaction. His daughter is going to be delighted when finding out about the People’s Postcode Lottery win.
