Two syndicates from the Brampton area of Ontario, Canada, have recently won top prizes on the national Lotto 6/49 and Lotto Max, and all came forward at once to claim their winnings.A group of six lottery players from Brampton and surrounding areas in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) recently shared a $1 million Lotto 6/49 prize thanks to the game’s guaranteed millionaire raffle. The six friends, from Brampton, Alliston and Georgetown, all of which are very close together, won their big money prize on September 22nd in the Lotto 6/49 drawing. after winning over $35 million on the Lotto Max back in January.The six winners were Walter Scott, Iain Lambert, James David, Michael Gilmartin, Michael Hall and Steven Taylor. Their winning Lotto 6/49 ticket was purchased from Kitchen Food Fair, and supermarket on Queen Street in Brampton, and it was one of 249 winning Guaranteed $1 million Prize draw tickets sold since the game began in 1982. Another of those 249 winners was a lottery player from Calgary who
won his guaranteed $1 million prize on the Lotto 6/49 while out for a birthday dinner.The other Brampton area syndicate was a group of 12 a wider section of the GTA area who shared a $100,000 prize after they bought a ticket for a Lotto Max drawing. The group won their prize on the Encore draw and matched six of seven numbers to win the prize.A group of colleagues from the GTA recently
shared a $350,000 Lotto Max prize which they described as ‘surreal’, and now the group of 12 Lotto Max players, who are from Mississauga, Brampton, Rockwood, Georgetown, Toronto, Oakville and Burlington, bought their ticket in Mississauga at a Shell gas station on Britannia Road.They were revealed by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Commission as Sean Patrick Dwyer, Amalia Navarro, Branda Pylypchuk, Francisco Monroy Zuniga, Joseph Robert Maillet, Linda Boros-Murray, Michael Conley, Milica Pruginic, Nicolae Bolotnov, Peter Vlassov, Sheree Sutherland and Stephanie Ferreira.
