Easter has arrived and a couple from Melbourne in Australia had planned to go away for a few days. Their break is going to be extra special because after winning a $775,000 prize in the 1 April TattsLotto draw.

Their good fortune came in the draw held on 1 April. Now that really is a great way to start a new month. Their ticket was one of seven division one winning entries. In total, they won a total of $775,265.

With the TattsLotto ticket being registered, the organisers knew exactly who had won so they made an amazing phone call. It was the female half of the couple who answered the call and she was already aware of the win and very excited by it.

“This is awesome - absolutely amazing,” said the delighted TattsLotto winner. It had been early on Sunday morning that she’d decided to check the results of the latest draw. Any hope of a quiet Sunday morning soon totally disappeared.”

“I screamed so much,” recalled the woman who has asked to remain anonymous. The rest of the day was spent spreading the news to her family. In the evening a celebration of their TattsLotto win was held.

Just simple people

With such a big win they could have gone out for a slap-up meal. That’s not their style though as the TattsLotto winner explained. “We’re very simple people, so the dinner wasn’t anything special!”
