Beach Holidays for £30,000 Postcode Lottery Winners

Three neighbours from Macclesfield in Northern England, each won a £30,000 People’s Postcode Lottery prize on April 17.  For one of those who was successful it was a highly emotional Easter win.

Easter is already an emotional time for 59-year-old Nick. His mother loved the celebration but sadly passed away two years ago. The People’s Postcode Lottery winner believes that his late mother continues to keep an eye out for him.

He admitted to being speechless over the £30,000 win. Plans for the winnings were revealed by his wife Michelle. A holiday is on their spending list as they aim to “get on the beach” and “drink cocktails.” A trip to New York is also likely as Covid prevented a previous planned trip.

Later this year, Nick celebrates his 60^th birthday and some of the win will go towards celebrating that.

It’s curtains for Sheila

Another winner because of their postcode SK10 3SF is Sheila. She also wants to go to New York but to watch the US Open tennis tournament. Before that though, the secondary school worker wants to do some work on her home. No building work is planned but the People’s Postcode Lottery winner said, “I desperately need some new curtains for my lounge!”

Sheila also wants to help her daughter Ellie. Some of her win will go to her so she can pay a deposit for a house or flat.

Off to the Caribbean?

The other £30,000 People’s Postcode Lottery winner is Robin. He couldn’t receive his winning cheque in person. His wife Karen carried out that duty. Talking about her win, she said: “It's a nice surprise, we can spend some money for a change!"An exotic holiday is now a possibility for the lucky couple. That could well be a trip to the Caribbean.

Julie McCourt was the People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador who handed out the cheques and was delighted to do so. “I’m thrilled for our winners in Macclesfield! A big congratulations to them. I'm sure they'll celebrate well tonight and treat themselves to something nice,” she said.
