Amazing Coincidences Lead to Two €50,000 Scratchcard Wins

If you want to read about an amazing coincidence then this story is for you. Irish player Anne Foley has won a €50,000 scratchcard prize, exactly eight years after she won the same amount.

It’s even more special for the lottery winner as both of her wins came on a day that was already an important one for her.

Not bad

The most recent win came from a present that was received on her 60th birthday. It won her a modest €10 which she described as “not bad.” Then she decided to use her winnings to buy a Bingo Multiplier scratchcard and that also proved to be a winner.

It was far more than €10 though and won her €50,000. Amazingly, that was how much she had won when given a scratchcard by her mother for her 52nd birthday.   An Australian woman had two $100,000 Lucky Lotteries wins  in the space of a couple of years.

The amazing coincidences don’t end there though. The wins were both discovered at the same time of day and when her son was having a shower. "Lightning really does strike twice", declared the delighted winner.

There is one more coincidence to come though. As had happened before, her husband, David, had just given her a call to let his wife know he was on his way back from work.

Lost for words

Talking about her two scratchcard wins, the lucky player said: “I was lost for words – I couldn’t believe that it had happened again!” The €50,000 winner added that the coincidences “almost spooked me out, but I wasn’t complaining.”

Her first scratchcard win was put to good use. The couple paid off their mortgage and some home improvements were carried out. More improvements are on their way thanks to this second scratchcard win. Solar panels will be installed and then a Caribbean cruise will be taken.
