$8 million Oz Lotto Win Discovered During ‘Morning Madness’
A couple from Adelaide in Australia were enjoying what they call their ‘morning madness.’ It became even crazier when finding out they’d won an $8 million Oz Lotto prize.
Their ticket had been the only division one winner in the Oz Lotto draw held on July 30. That meant the $8 million jackpot was all theirs.
When told of their win, the husband declared: “Oh my god! That’s insane!” Still in shock, he added: “Wowee! That’s just crazy talk!”
Neither he nor his wife had seen the Oz Lotto draw live. Their ticket had been registered so the Lott knew exactly who had won the jackpot.
Good news coming
That morning when checking his phone, he did see some missed calls from the lottery company. When he listened to the voicemail message he became even more curious. “I thought to myself, ‘There’s no way someone from The Lott has called me for no reason. There must be good news coming.”
That’s a bit of an understatement and soon after he was told their Oz Lotto ticket had won the $8 million top prize. Recently a man won a $12 million Australian Powerball jackpot after changing his numbers.
Speaking about the win, he said that both he and his wife had “been working incredibly hard for years now.” This Oz Lotto win is “going to completely change our lives,” added the delighted winner.
Flying
Such was his joy at finding out about the fantastic win, he said: “For a second there I thought I was flying. That’s how joyous I felt.”
At this point his wife still had no idea what had happened. “I cannot wait to tell my wife the news - she’s going to explode with happiness,” said the thrilled husband.
Thanks to the win the couple will be able to enjoy some time off work and have a much-needed and deserved holiday. They also want to help their family members. That means a lot to him as some are having a tough time. “We’ll be celebrating this win for a long time to come!” he concluded.
