The dream of owning your own home is something many people dream of achieving. A young man from Maldon in Victoria, Australia, can get on the property ladder after a $2.5 million TattsLotto win.

He was one of four first division winners in the draw held on Saturday September 11. It’s a win that the player (who has asked to remain anonymous) is finding it hard to deal with.

It was straight after the TattsLotto draw that he discovered his life-changing win.He’d been watching television with his family when deciding to check the results on The Lott app. Then came the shock of his life as his first division win was discovered.

“I instantly started shaking! I felt so nervous. I just couldn’t believe it!” recalled the shocked TattsLotto winner. Was it true?  He screamed at his parents asking them to check the result. “They couldn’t believe it either. They were blown away!” said the now convinced player.

When asked how he will spend his $2.5 million TattsLotto winnings, he knew just what he wanted. “I think the first thing I will do is buy myself a home,” he said. Until this big win came along that looked “a bit impossible” but now he can finally achieve his dream.

The TattsLotto winner isn’t sure what to do with the rest of his windfall. “I’ve never had this kind of money, so it’s new territory for me!” he said. It’s probably a feeling all big lottery winners have.

His winning TattsLotto ticket was purchased from the Maldon Newsagency. That’s owned by Graeme and Barb Ford, and they are delighted to have sold their fourth first division ticket. Graeme said: “Wow! We are so happy that someone’s TattsLotto dream has come true.”
