A £25 million EuroMillions winner from Bolton has begun investing his time and money in helping out at the school allotment and vegetable garden with his grandchildren, and even received a visit from CBeebies.Brian Caswell won his £25 million on the EuroMillions in June 2009, when he split an almost £50 million EuroMillions jackpot with another player in Ireland, and at the time he vowed that he would be investing his money in some “me” time in his allotment, just like UK Lotto winner Alan Rowley who spent a large portion of his £1.9 million lottery win on his wildlife garden. The gardening club even had a visit from Mr Bloom, a gardening character from CBeebies, this week, who visited the school in order to look at the progress they have made in both parts of the garden.The TV gardener, whose TV show inspires children to get involved with nature, said “I was absolutely delighted to be invited to visit Egerton Community Primary School. It is fantastic to see what the children have achieved – all thanks to Brian.”Mr Caswell, however, tried not to take all the credit for how the allotment and vegetable garden have turned out so far, telling the local press in Lancashire that winning the lottery enabled him to spend more money and time to grow the very best fruit and vegetables for himself and his family.
