Teenage lottery player is a winner with his first-ever lottery ticket he bought online

Inspired by another winner

The first-time lottery winner had been inspired to buy his first-ever ticket after seeing the lottery’s recent jackpot winner.He watched Dean Weymes, 24, scoop the top prize on the national news.The teenage father was in the bath when he decided to buy his lottery ticket online.After his bath, he went downstairs and saw that the draw had taken place, and he’d won the game’s second prize.

Almost instant gratification

“It was only an hour, maybe 90 minutes, after I first played when I saw a message on my phone, and it said I’d won the second prize - £10k a month for 12 months.”The winner, from Leamington Spa, England, said that he asked his partner Connie to have a look. Neither of them had played the lottery before and they had to call Connie’s brother to double-check.“We checked the tickets and sat there in disbelief wondering if it was true.”

Plans for the future

Now that £10,000 a month is on the way to his bank account, the first-time lottery winner has plenty of plans.He plans on taking his partner on a holiday of a lifetime to New York.They also hope to put a deposit down on a home for their burgeoning family. “The next thing on my list is a driving licence,” Mr Lawton said.“I haven't passed my test and with a small family I need wheels, maybe a BMW 1 series.”
