A Canadian Lotto winner from Kamloops in British Columbia, Canada has vowed to turn his good luck into a good deed as he gives back to his local community following a Lotto Max win.Jason Labby, from Kamloops, told the BC Lottery Corporation that he plans to ‘Pay It Forward’ following his big $500,000 on the Lotto Max Extra drawing on July 7th, 2017. “I believe in helping people,” Mr Labby told lottery officials as he collected his big Lotto Max Extra prize. “I’m donating some of my winnings to help people affected by the wildfires across B.C.” A man who was evacuated from a town in Alberta after a wildfire broke out planned to give back to Canadian charities after he won $1 million on the Lotto 649.Recently another British Columbia lottery player won $7 million on the Lotto 649 and planned to buy a brand-new home. Wildfire season in Western Canada began on April 1st this year, and so far around 40,000 people have had to leave their homes as wildfires spread over 1,880 square kilometres of bush and grasslands. Another British Columbia Lotto 649 winner also planned to donate some of his $4.9 million winnings after a Christmastime win.The lucky Lotto Max winner, however generous he is being with his winnings to help those in need, also plans to use his money to treat himself. The charitable lottery winner is going to spoil himself as well as others, “I’m going to buy a home for myself and relax more,” the big winner said. “I’m celebrating every day because every day is a good day!” A couple from Ontario who won $1 million on the Lotto Max also planned to spend time relaxing following their win, as did a pair of Missouri brothers in law who shared a $20,000 Mega Millions prize.The Lotto Max Extra winner hasn’t declared how much he will donate, but a portion of his winnings will be going into charitable causes.
