$200,000 Lucky Lotteries Winner to Give Most of the Winnings Away

A player from Bayview in Sydney, Australia won $200,000 in the May 25 Lucky Lotteries draw. He plans on sharing most of his winnings with family members and charities that mean a great deal to him.

The Lucky Lotteries winner says that only “a few dollars” will be heading in his direction. The hardest job he seems to have been having since his win is coping with what has happened. “I’m feeling quite shocked if I’m honest with you,” he told The Lott.

Initially, he thought he was seeing things, or it might even be a joke. Then he looked again and realised he had won a $200,000 Lucky Lotteries top prize.

The right thing to do

Many of his friends have mortgage payments to make. This lucky winner says he will pay them off for him. He’ll also make sure his winnings “do wonderful things for my family.” Making charitable donations is also important to him. “It’s the right thing to do, isn’t it?” is his generous opinion.

His winning Lucky Lotteries ticket was purchased from the Nextra Newsagency in Mona Vale. It’s managed by Lisa Andrell who says it’s the first major prize sold there in “a number of years.”

The manager added that the win had created “a buzz” at the store since news of the win was revealed. “Everyone’s wondering who the mystery winner is” she said and hopes the winner “does something really good with their winnings.” That looks certain to happen.

Also winning a major prize on May 25 was a man from Lismore in New South Wales. He won $100,000 in the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.

He didn’t know about his win until called by The Lott. “Oh really? Wow, righto, that’s great” was his immediate reaction.

Rebuilding

Sometimes wins come along just when you need them. Earlier this year the Lucky Lotteries winner lost almost everything due to flooding where he lived.  He says that this win will help me pay a few bills. More importantly, he’ll be able to “fix a few things and just rebuild.”
