$13.33 million Oz Lotto Winner Won’t Give Up Working

Three tickets shared the $40 million jackpot in the May 28 Oz Lotto draw. One of the winners is a man from Lidcombe in Sydney but it doesn’t mean his working days are over.

“Wow! Wow! Wow!” was his initial reaction when the lottery company called him. He was understandably in shock and said: “I don’t know what to say. I’m scratching my head.” No wonder he described the call as the best of his life and then opened a bottle of champagne.

He was enjoying his dinner when receiving the most important text message of his life. It asked him to check his Oz Lotto ticket but he was worried it might be a scam. Then he looked at the results and realised he had won a prize.

$13?

At first, the regular Oz Lotto thought his win was just $13 but then he saw that it was a lot more than that.

The lucky Australian will receive $13.333 million and has asked to remain anonymous. We do know that he’s in his 30s and a businessman. He plans on helping his family and investing some of his winnings into his business.  EuroMillions winner Adrian Bayford recently began a wine business.

Kingdom Cash

Also winning a share of the Oz Lotto jackpot was the 15-strong ‘Kingdom Cash’ syndicate from Lithgow in New South Wales. They also had other wins in the draw and in total will receive $13,360,011.39 with each member winning $890,667.43.

Their winning ticket was purchased from the Top End Newsagency in Lithgow. It is owned by Vinh Huynh and Dien Nguyen.

It’s been a long wait for them to sell another division one winning ticket. The last one was back in 2018 when a $35 million Oz Lotto ticket was sold.

Mr Huynh described the news as “the nicest surprise ever.” He congratulated the winners and said: “It's time to party!” The other $13.33 million winner is yet to come forward.
