$1.25m Tatts Lotto Winner Off to the Gold Coast
Two lucky players had a great start to the new month. They both won $1.25 million in the July 1 TattsLotto draw.
One of the winners is a woman from Broadmeadows from Victoria. When she received a phone call, the day after the draw, her first thought was that it might be bad news. However, it was actually her husband with news of her $1.25 million TattsLotto success.
Before breaking the great news, he told his wife “I’m shaking! I’m shaking!” Not sure what was going on she asked if he was sick. Then he told her that they were millionaires but she thought her husband was joking.
Don’t be silly
“I usually don’t win anything,” said the TattsLotto winner. “I just kept saying, ‘Don’t be silly!” He was telling the truth though and now the couple are working out how to spend their windfall,
Some will be put in the bank “for a rainy day” and the rest will be shared between herself and her family.
Overall there were eight tickets that won $1.25 million in the July 1 TattsLotto draw. Another of the lucky winners was a man from Cranbourne . He was enjoying a shower when receiving the phone call to talk to him about becoming a lottery millionaire.
Shocked to hear the news of his big win, the delighted player said “My mind is going a mile an hour. I can’t process this.” He had already checked his TattsLotto ticket, the morning after the July 1 draw. However, he initially believed he’d won a division two or three prize, not a $1.25 million first division win.
It’s too cold here
He’s been playing the lottery since he was around 18 years old. Now he’s in his 60s and a big win has finally been achieved. He’s yet to decide how to spend his winnings but a holiday is definitely planned. “It’s too cold here! “Maybe a little holiday to the Gold Coast. It’s nice and hot there,” joked the TattsLotto winner.
