$1.2 billion Mega Millions Winner Revealed

$1.2 billion Mega Millions Winner Revealed
The winner of last December’s $1.2 billion Mega Millions jackpot has finally claimed their fantastic winnings. Rosemary Casarotti from California was named as the winner but is proving to be a rather private person.
Excitement
The Mega Millions winner did not even attend the press conference that was held by California Lottery officials. Public records have revealed that the winner is in her 60s and lives in California.
One of the California Lottery spokespersons, Carolyn Becker, revealed that she had spoken to the lucky winner who expressed the “excitement” that she had felt when discovering her win.
Her winning ticket was purchased from a Sunshine Food and Gas Circle K in Cottonwood. Rather than accepting her win as an annuity, a one-off payment of $571 million was received. Changes are being made to the Mega Millions draw next month with even higher jackpots on the way.
Also celebrating a big Mega Millions win is a 64-year-old retired woman from Bridgeville in Delaware, USA. The January 31 draw saw her win $2 million. Her win came just two months after she started to play the lottery. Some of her winnings will be used to buy new furniture with the rest being saved.
The most recent Mega Millions draw was held on Friday and ended in a rollover. That means tomorrow night the top prize will be $344 million
Last year, the jackpot was only won four times with at least $552 million won and two wins of over $1 billion. Aside from the December win of $1.2 billion, the other massive win came in January with a ticket sold in New Jersey winning $1.128 billion.
Massive EuroMillions jackpot tomorrow
The EuroMillions jackpot doesn’t quite reach those heights but there’s a massive top prize in tomorrow night’s draw.
After another rollover on Friday, Tuesday’s EuroMillions draw has a €217 million (£182 million) jackpot. It’s the fourth highest jackpot in EuroMillions history. A couple more rollovers will see us reach the €250 million jackpot cap for the first time.
