$1 million Weekday Windfall Winner Finally on Property Ladder
The dream of owning his own home can finally be achieved by a man from Wollongong in New South Wales. The Australian won a $1 million prize in the August 28 Weekday Windfall draw.
Over the moon
His was one of two tickets that were division one winning entries. He’d checked the Weekday Windfall results earlier in the morning. After making his fantastic discovery he quickly phoned his parents who are also regular lottery players. He said they were “over the moon” after being told.
“Woo! I’ve been expecting this phone call!” shouted the Weekday Windfall winner when The Lott called him..
He must be a loyal person because he’s been playing the same numbers for over 20 years. “They’re birthdays and special dates,” he explained.
In the past they have produced some small wins but nothing on this scale. A player from the state of Victoria changed one number and won $12 million playing Powerball.
It’s not been an easy time for the Weekday Windfall winner. He explained that he’s been to hell and back these past few years’ without giving further details. Now he plans to use his winnings to ensure he can finally buy his own house, something he hasn’t been able to do in the current housing market.
Oh my goodness!
Also winning a big prize in the past week has been a man from Stanthorpe. He’s celebrating after winning a $100,000 Lucky Lotteries prize in the August 27 draw.
Unlike the Weekday Windfall winner, he had no idea of his success. “Oh my goodness! This is amazing news!” declared the shocked Lucky Lotteries winner.
He added that the news “has come at a great time” after having “a rough couple of years.” He plays several lottery games but admitted to having a “soft spot” for the Lucky Lotteries draw.
“I feel so happy. I feel like I might explode.”said the Lucky Lotteries winner. His win will help pay for new home appliances and some renovations. Taking his family on an interstate holiday is also being planned.
