$1 million Weekday Windfall Prize is a “Christmas Miracle”

A woman from Echuca in the Australian state of Victoria has been using her father’s special lottery numbers for the past decade. They’ve come good for her with a $1 million win in the Weekday Windfall draw held on December 4.

Hers was the only ticket that won a division one prize in the draw and it proved to be a massive shock for her. When finding out she’d won a $1 million Weekday Windfall prize, her immediate reaction was “Oh my god! Is that true?”

“I can’t believe this.”

It was indeed and the shocked winner added: “I can’t believe this. This has totally changed my life.” Just how her winning numbers had been selected was then explained. Her father had loved lotteries so when he passed away, his daughter continued using them.

Her father had some wins but only won a couple of thousand dollars. Never did his daughter imagine that one day his numbers would win her a $1 million Weekday Windfall prize.

There’s even a story about how the numbers were originally chosen. Her father was a big football fan and that’s where he got his numbers from. The emotional Weekday Windfall winner said emotionally: “I’d like to think that this win is because of him, and that he’s looking down at me today.

Blown away

The Echuca resident admitted to being “blown away” and couldn't wait to tell her mother and husband the news of her Weekday Windfall win. “They will probably have the same reaction as me,” joked the delighted player. The winner did have some plans for the day but declared: “I think I’ll just keep it chill.”

The $1 million will be in her bank account in time for Christmas.  “It’s a Christmas miracle!” cheered the winner who can’t wait for December 25. Plans for her win include helping her family who have had a tough time of it recently.
